Relaxed restaurant with bare bricks & beams, serving traditional Roman meat & seafood, plus pizza. We have been here several times. The owner is an older gentleman (a grandfatherly type). He routinely comes by the table and tries to convince you that you are not full and CAN in fact eat more. This is in an area of Rome called Testacio and if you are looking for a truly local restaurant, this is it. This is Italian cooking with a family atmosphere that is sometimes hard to find in the ciy center of Rome. The prices are super affordable and most of the staff is family. I love this place and if you are staying in Rome for more than 2 or 3 days, and you are a person that really likes to see a truly local environment. This is the spot!
